Chen Qingping was Chen Youben’s most talented student. He obtained the Taiji Boxing theory and was taught the whole of the Zhaobao Village system. Wu Yuxiang of Guangping started learning from Yang Luchan, but was not taught the deeper secrets. Because of this, he therefore went to Zhaobao and sought instruction from Chen Qingping, who had a strong reputation. Chen Qingping (1795–1868) was a 15th generation descendant and Tai Chi master of the Chen Family. He was an influential martial artist and teacher of Tai Chi.
His family was rich and doing business in Zhaobao Village. He was moved to Zhaobao village in his teenagers, only a few miles north east of the Chen Village ; the home of the Chen Family famous for their martial arts.
After moving to the Zhaobao Village, Chen Qingping continued to develop the martial arts that were taught to him by a family elder Chen Youben (credited as the creator of the Chen Style Small Frame) . Chen Qingping later became famous in his own right and taught many students in Zhaobao Village.
One of his main disciple “He Zhao-yuan” passed on this art which later developed into He family Tai Chi. Another disciple “Li Jing-yan”, who was famous on his powerful read fighting Kung Fu that taught by Chen Qingping, people called his form “Hulei Tai Chi”(Sudden Thunder Tai Chi). Because of it's explosive movement fast and powerful as Sudden Thunder.
Chen Qingping, along with being credited with being a major influence in the development of the Zhaobao style (People called the Tai Chi form he taught in Zhaobao village as Zhaobao style), is also credited as one of the teachers of “Wu Yuxiang” who later developed the Wu/Hao style Tai Chi. Wu Yu-xiang was recommended to Chen Qingping by Wu Yuxiang's primary teacher, Yang Lu-chan.

Chen Qingping or Ch'en Ch'ing-p'ing (1795–1868) was a 15th generation descendant and 7th generation master of the Chen Family . He was an influential martial artist and teacher of taijiquan (t'ai chi ch'uan).
He was married to a woman from the Zhaobao village, only a few miles north east of the Chen Village (Chenjiagou); the home of the Chen Family famous for their martial arts.
After moving to the Zhaobao Village, Chen Qingping learned martial arts Zhang Yan (张彦). He also continued to develop the martial arts that were taught to him by a family elder Chen Youben (陳有本) (credited as the creator of the Chen Style Small Frame) alongside Zhaobao taijiquan. Chen Qingping later became famous in his own right and taught many “Zhaobao taijiquan”.
His main disciple He Zhao-yuan passed on this art which later developed into He family Taijiquan. Another disciple, Li Jing-yan, created the Hulei style Taijiquan by combining his art with other martial arts popular in the local area where he lived.
Chen Qingping, along with being credited as a major influence in the development of the Zhaobao style, is also credited as one of the teachers of Wu Yu-xiang who later developed the Wu/Hao style taijiquan, sometimes referred to as the “Scholar-style of Taijiquan”.
