Chen Lifa (1949-) was born in Chen famly village to a great martial heritage being the grandson of Chen Shensan (known as a Tai Chi Master) and the son of Chen Fulai (known as a Tai Chi expert). He studied with his father Tai Chi and family such as Chen Kexin, Chen Liqing and Chen Lixian in more advanced methods (Older Chen Style, today often called Xiaojia/Small Frame). The Chen family has such a rich and deep history of practicing and teaching their family’s art of Tai Chi Chuan. He started teaching in the 1980's and is a advisor and board member of a number of Chen Style Tai Chi associatons.
