Gengyun, son of [[Chen Chang-Xing|Changxing]], learned Taiji as the family tradition. He fought against the [[Taiping Rebellion|Taiping]] forces alongside [[Chen Zhong-Shen|Zhongshen]] and [[Chen Ji-Shen|Jishen]], but unfortunately his own military successes are all but forgotten.
