= False Faith A false faith is an argument that: * a) confirms someone's beliefs, but, * b) in and of itself * c) is ultimately false. An example is the idea that a chicken is a bird //because// all birds have eyes. From this we see that yes, a chicken is a bird -- but the reason why a chicken is a bird is not because all birds have eyes. Another example would be, that whenever you hit a machine and it starts working again that hitting the machine //fixes the machine//. There may be some reason why the machine was jarred into operation or a lose piece was temporarily in the correct place, but the notion of //hitting a machine in the right spot// to fix it is a false belief. Nevertheless, hitting a machine to fix it does sometimes work. == Christian Examples An example is the beresheit argument of [[Secret Bible Theory]]. The argument is self-evidently false, but because it confirms the Christian belief many Christians will argue it's veracity, claiming it is obviously true and that only a nonbeliever could misinterpret it.
